Walking with David
When everyday has blue skies and sunshine then you get rather use to it. However, when you usually live under a grey cloud a day of blue skies and warm(ish) breezes is so enjoyable. Today was one of those rare days in early spring and it was a joy walking around the city centre of Leicester. Tomorrow rain is forecast so situation normal…but at least the temperature is warming up!
I want to dance with somebody
Tis the season for portrait painting TV series. Whatever the artistic merits of such programmes, one I believe has artistic integrity the other is just a reality TV show, I have to say that I admire the confidence of the artists who take part – the last thing that I would want is to try and produce a painting whilst being filmed and watched by the general public.

Bridget Jones Door
This morning I thought I would make a drawing using my Apple pencil. So I sat down, found an interesting image of one of my favourite movie characters, Bridget Jones, got the iPad ready and….nothing – the pencil needed to be charged! ‘Oh fuck’! As Bridget might have put it.
Oh the joys of modern technology. So it was back to the good old analogue days of a pencil and sketchbook – how very 20th century!

Tea Break
On the way home from London yesterday we stopped off at Canons Ashby in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Simple things are sometimes the best.
