Is it really 4 years since I captured this image?   Well of course only I can answer that but the truth is so much has happened in those 4 years it really is amazing the twists and turns in one’s life.

The reason why I’m revisiting my last time on the wonderful Newgale beach is because next I will be visiting the beach for the first time in four years.  This visit will probably be fleeting but it is still a magical place – as are many of the beaches in south and west Wales.

At the moment I don’t seem to be able to really apply myself to anything other than a brief sketch – I’m not sure if this is because photography is starting to be a bigger call on my creative energy or it is just one of those things.  Time will tell.

Project LV One – Day 20 – Big Sky

The Fens is one of the few places in England where you get a really big sky.  Of course this is a bit of an optical illusion as the amount of sky that is visible in any one place is the same throughout the world.  The difference is that in the Fens there are few natural obstructions so you tend to loose any sense of scale hence you the big sky above you.

The Green Man was a carving in the body of St Botolph’s Church, Boston – the home of the famous ‘Stump’ .

Project LV One – Day 19 – N….. Canis

Well I have just learnt something new – which I guess if you ever think about such things shouldn’t surprise you but the N word is latin for black.  You see I was going to be a bit smart and use the latin for black dog – I really don’t think that would be a good idea.

So today was a bit of a black dog day which is strange because I had a really good meeting about my history research and the weather was beautiful when I visited the real Boston in Lincolnshire.  However, I don’t have any control over these things so I guess I’ll try and get a good nights sleep and things should be better in the morning.
