New iPad Black and White app

I’ve just bought a new app for the iPad called Dramatic Black and White and it does seem to offer a wide range of black and white opportunities as well as being able to play around with infrared as well. This is the first attempt which also raises an interesting question when does a photograph become an iphoneograph as this was actually captured with my old Canon 1D and 500mm lens but then post processed on the iPad and iPhone. Indeed I used similar post production methods on the original image only that was in Photoshop. I guess in the end all that matters is the image rather than how it was made.

Stage 3 – total disaster

I have had to abandon stage three – everything I find difficult when using Brushes came to for and have combined older versions, that I store as layers, to come up with the final painting. This has been a salutary lesson.

Skull part 1

I have set myself a drawing task – to try an produce a realistic set of drawings of a human skull. This is the first part of the exercise and I have to say it is really boring but an I portent exercise nonetheless as it really forces you to look really hard. I’m still not happy with this – when am I? But I feel I have got a lot out it. I need to go an do something else to wake up the synapses and then come back to exercise no 2.
