Contrary to popular belief photographs always lie – the image above more so than normal. It was captured from a window in Tate Liverpool which overlooks the pool at Liverpool. The image above suggests that this view was taken out of a window that was one clearish pain of glass. Actually this is a composite created from 6 images looking out six individual pains of glass – photoshop has removed the framework and created this. Below demonstrates what the window is actually like.
Does this matter – well not in these circumstances but it is always worth reminding yourself that photographs always lie. In fact all of these photographs are in way or another a lie but I do not care as I am interested in the image more than anything else.
Beyond Liverpool we drove home across the Peak District and stopped off at the second highest pub in England, the Cat and Fiddle. The views were really spectacular as was the nice bit of cake and cup of tea I had – yum yum. It was a much nicer driver home than along the hated M6.
