The memory plays tricks on you – especially when you are not as young as you once were.  This morning I’ve been undertaking some research on image captured by an iPhone and I thought that I had been making these images from almost the date that I bought my first iPhone – March 2009.  However, it turns out that I didn’t really start until 2010.  The first blog entry with the tag iPhoneography also dates back to May 2010.

Now this is interesting because this is also the year that I started to realise that I wanted to draw and paint.  I have no idea whether at some unconscious level ( well der of course you won’t) this was me rejecting my previous photographic life and embracing the new or is it just the clarity that 20/20 hindsight give you?

Whatever the case may be this is one of the first images I captured with an iPhone and bothered to keep. I reprocessed it this morning which once again raises the question just when was a photograph made?
