Whilst I was away last week I was able to capture some images that I can use for one of my other long term projects – Deep Time.   Some of you may recall that I have a great deal of confusion about this project and these images have only added another level of confusion – just when is the best time lighting conditions to capture images for this project?

So far the images have been captured on a variety of lighting conditions and this has lead to a differing in the look and feel of the images.  I’m not at all sure whether this adds to the images or distracts but I guess at this time it doesn’t really matter.

For the information of anyone out there who might care – the top two rocks date to the Carboniferous period and the bottom two to the Devonian.  So the rocks above are around 150 million years younger – not bad considering they are only about 30 miles apart – as the crow flies.  It really is no wonder that Britain is the home of Geology.
