Many years ago I tried to impress a young woman by saying that the skill of a photographer was that he or she should be able to make an interesting photographic image out of any view he or she was presented with. Of course I was neither as fluent nor politically correct in my language when I said this but it came back to me this morning as I was walking away from Leicester Museum and Art Gallery.
The weather was drizzly and everything was damp and mulchy – it is late November after all and on the face of it not that promising when trying to make interesting photographic images yet, within 10 minutes walk from the museum I had made over 80 images. A case of a silk purse out of a sow’s ear? Maybe but I was surprised by the whole episode. It is another great advert for the power of the iPhone as photographic tool. That and the incredible photo apps available now mean that you can come somewhere close to my rather lame line in trying to impress the opposite sex. BTW it didn’t work – of the joys of youth.

These are really nice 🙂
Thanks
