The Fens is one of the few places in England where you get a really big sky.  Of course this is a bit of an optical illusion as the amount of sky that is visible in any one place is the same throughout the world.  The difference is that in the Fens there are few natural obstructions so you tend to loose any sense of scale hence you the big sky above you.

The Green Man was a carving in the body of St Botolph’s Church, Boston – the home of the famous ‘Stump’ .
