Over the past few weeks I’ve been playing around with the settings on the KitCam app on my iPhone. Instead of using the post production facilities with the app I decided to set the app up to apply the effects at the time of capture. Now this has a number of benefits but in the end I’ve not been able to apply the one thing that I really dig at the moment – the square image format. So I’ve decided to go back to the post op option – apart from when creating the four in one images which I really quite like.
So the funny thing in the Apple store? Well not particularly funny really…I was messing around on one of the new iMac’s, which by the way have some stunning screens but don’t believe the Apple person when they tell you they are all same calibration – especially when they quote the official Apple website as clinching evidence. But I digress. One of the ways I always test computer screens is to look at the images on website, I know what they look like on my machine and it does provide a baseline for comparison, so I looked at my KitCam gallery and noticed just how great the square format is, especially when the image is produced by KitCam. So not very funny I know but it made realise that I must go back to the square format. You were warned it wasn’t that funny.
