Had a very enjoyable day at the Format Photography Festival at Derby. I guess it wasn’t a surprise that I got my iPhone out and made a few images. The festival as a whole was full of the usual mix and tick of images – however if you only visit one exhibition then the one I would suggest is visiting the Chocolate Factory which is based in a disused Chocolate Factory. Whilst the photography is variable the whole atmosphere is much more alive and laid back – see if you can find Gavin Esler.
