Virgin Mary – Breedon on the Hill

Dsc02011_-_0001

I actually went out and captured some images this morning – these were for the Pre History project/book I’m working on.  I spent the morning scrabbling around the old iron age fort and church at Breedon on the Hill.  I have still to work on the RAW files to makes some images but there is one photo I want to share from inside the Church – the Virgin Mary.  This sculpture is one of the few remaining examples of Anglo Saxon carvings and I find it wonderful.
