Sitting at my favourite bench grabbing my emails

The tide is high and Im all alone… So the song went. And it is true I’m sitting on the seafront but only because this is where the reception is best. You don’t realise what the digital divide is like until you suffer from it first hand. Poor signal strength means one thing – not enough capital investment.

So no 3 G no wifi its grim. A lot of people might see this as a bonus – well I don’t and I suspect the locals don’t either. I have advantages that mean I can react to the outside world far better than they can. You might wish that we didn’t live in wired world but we do and it is important when you are in business.

Anyway that’s enough moaning. The day has been great – weather far better than predicted and as I look out on the bay even the supertanker has gone. However there two more to replace it – these are much further out and as I write this is sailing away.
